UK Passport

Complying with the rules and following the terms and conditions of Her Majesty’s Passport Office (HMPO) can be a daunting task. As HMPO has the sole discretion to issue UK passports, it becomes challenging to qualify. The eligibility criteria might seem straightforward at first, but just one mistake can cost you a lot.

All adult applicants of age 16 or over can apply for a passport. If they apply for the first time, they must attend an interview with Her Majesty’s Passport Office in person for identity confirmation. Furthermore, you must have British nationality to apply for or hold a British Passport. It takes 6 weeks to process the application by HMPO. However, the applicant should avoid making any travel arrangements until getting the decision on the application.

What are the programs for renewing passports urgently?

If the applicant needs to renew your passport or an urgent basis, then HMPO permits you to opt for one of the following programs:

.Fast-track one-week service

.Premium one-day service

However, the applicant has to book an appointment beforehand at the Passport Office. The delay in the procedure can occur due to various reasons. IPS may require a little more time than mentioned to thoroughly inspect your case if unusual activity is found in the applicant’s record. Apart from this, confirming details provided by the applicant and contacting the countersignature may also take extra time.
